Tara Nash

The original Chic Seeker and founder of Chic&Seek Tara Nash finally steps up as our Chic of the Week. Tara is a force of love to be reckoned with. Chic&Seek is testament to her tenacious drive, determination and style. Having just got back from her home away from home Ibiza we dig a little deeper into the woman behind the brand.

What do you do?

At the moment I run Chic&Seek, but I am soon to be a student studying Spiritual Psychology in the City of Angels, USA!

What are you most proud of?

Creating Chic&Seek from conception, for everything it has taught me and all the weird and wonderful people I have met along the way.

What can’t you live without?

My diary and a pen. Writing is my therapy, its a sacred space I can share my fears, dreams and joy.

What is your most memorable fashion purchase?

Hard to pick one…I do remember buying some Marc Jacobs knee high boots with butter soft pink leather lining. They were a big purchase from Matches around 10 years ago. They are dated, but I don’t think I can part with them because I felt so good when I bought them.

What is your favourite shop of all time?

Harrods. It will always remind me of shopping trips to London with my Mum and sisters from an early age. Toy Kingdom is still my favourite department!

What is your biggest fashion mistake?!

Bright orange trousers with a lime green crop top with long strings that wrapped around my mid riff. I must have gained half a stone between the time of buying the outfit and wearing it to a party. I felt so self conscious I got paralytic drunk and remember very little of the evening. Must have been circa 1996.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Bette Midler.

What’s your Chic Beauty/Fashion tip?

Don’t compare yourself with others and like who you are.

Wear what you like, not what you are told to like.

If the heels hurt when you try them on in the shop, DON’T BUY THEM!

Body Shop make the best eye make-up remover.
