The Future is Feminine

Last night Rachel Elnaugh joined us at Chic&Seek to talk on the subject “The Future is Feminine”. The tube strike didn’t deter the 35 strong audience patiently stacked into our boutique basement to hear what Rachel had to say.
I was very excited to organise our first speaking event at Chic&Seek. This has been a vision of mine, to create a shop ‘with meaning.’ I want to inspire and share with like-minded people. Last year I started my search for good speakers and I was extremely pleased when I received a reply from Rachel giving me a list of 5 topics to choose
from. There was no doubt in my mind that The Future is Feminine felt right for my network of Chic Seekers!
Rachel shared her story of early success with Red Letter Days, her appearance on Dragons Den and the demise of her business. It was refreshing to hear the truth and vulnerability of her story and how this has been instrumental in her position now as a business coach, thought leader and inspirational speaker.
The subject of the talk may have lead some to believe that this was going to be a feminist rant about how women are better than men, but this was not the case. The point was, that we are becoming more equal. For so long we have been dominated by masculine energy, after all, we call it ‘His-tory’ not ‘Her-story’. But now we are coming into a feminine energy and a new way of thinking and acting in life and business.
After the talk Rachel kindly took questions and networked offering advice and encouragement.
Rachel’s new venture SourceTV is a hub for thought leaders, transformational teachers, therapists and coaches to convey their messages and promote their work.
Thank you to everyone who came and donated to our local charity The Rugby Portobello Trust . This charity does great work with young people in the W11 area, enriching and expanding their horizons. We raised £495.
