Look who landed in our Chic&Seek boutique this week, the sassy and very stylish designer and CEO of JADEtribe Kimberly Hartman. Visiting from New York, Kimberly filled our home with her beautifully collection, every bag is unique, 100% natural and ethical. JADEtribe carries in it a piece of Kimberly’s heart and a piece of the hearts of the women in South East Asia whose lives have been improved by making it.
What do you do?
I am the CEO/Designer of JADEtribe – a socially conscious fashion brand of handbags perfect for the beach and beyond.
What are you most proud of?
After launching my own brand in spring 2009 it would be the recognition and my feature in British VOGUE November 2010, kinda big deal for a girl from Texas.
What can’t you live without?
Molton Brown lip saver and a hair tie.
What is your most memorable fashion purchase?
The YSL Mombasa black leather bag that I purchased during Milan fashion week before I realised what an it bag it was to become.
What is your favourite shop of all time?
I’m always inspired by MERCI in Paris but I do spend a lot of money at BARNEYS.
What is your biggest fashion mistake?!
Selling a vintage YSL Safari mini dress in New York years ago.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
Hands down Cameron Diaz.
What’s your Chic Beauty/Fashion tip?
Little sun on your face, highlights in your hair and always wear a smile.
