Sam Robinson

This weeks Chic of the Week is the stunning Sam, our neighbour on Portland Road. Sam founded the super successful Cross boutique which was the first ever lifestyle store in London. After reading her interview we are all rushing out to buy Eve Lom TLC face cream as Sam has the most beautiful skin you have ever seen!

What do you do?

I am the owner of The Cross boutique in Holland Park…I buy an eclectic mix of fashion, jewellery, accessories, gifts and kids wear for the store. I still enjoy selling on the shop floor when I have the time…I love catching up with my loyal customers and adore my sales team, we always have so much fun.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my children, they astonish me every day!

What can’t you live without?

I cant live without my husband and my Eve Lom TLC face cream…

What is you most memorable fashion purchase?

My most memorable fashion purchase was when I was at fashion collage…I saved up for a beautiful white lace coat from Scott Crolla, a stunning store in Dover street that sold designs by Georgina Godley and Scott Crolla…

What is your favourite shop of all time?

I am pretty fond of my own shop since I spend most of my time there! I do remember sitting on the big chequered floor in Biba as a small child and loving it even then…..

What is your biggest fashion mistake?

I like to think that I don’t make fashion mistakes but I grew up in the eighties so I am guilty of puff ball skirts, large shoulder pads, big pearls and bad haircuts…

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Probably my son Otto if he ever makes it on stage…Failing that I’ll settle for Cate Blanchet?!

What’s your chic fashion/beauty tip?

Always shop at The Cross……

The Cross is located opposite Chic&Seek at 141 Portland Road, W11 4LR
