This week’s Chic (s) of the week is the super glamorous duo Antonia and Emily who co-founded Bees&Taylor. Bees&Taylor is a styling consultancy based in West London. These incredibly talented ladies can offer you a range of styling solutions to meet all your fashion needs which includes wardrobe edits, commercial and editorial projects.
What do you do?
We are fashion stylists, come personal shoppers, come wardrobe advisors and the founders of style consultancy Bees&Taylor.
What are you most proud of?
Making Bees & Taylor happen!
Since then, one of the most exciting moments for us was when we dressed our client Clare Balding for the Sports Personality of the Year Awards; Twitter exploded when she walked on stage wearing Alexander McQueen tuxedo trousers, a By Malene Birger blazer and sharp heels.
What can’t you live without?
AOB: I never leave home without my Graz sunglasses, Paw Paw ointment and Emma Franklin bear ring.
EGT: I always have Nars red lippy in my handbag for when I need a colour pick-me-up, Persol sunglasses and Hannah Martin arc ring.
What is your most memorable fashion purchase?
AOB: Last year I splashed out on an exquisite pair of navy snakeskin Atalanta Weller knee-high boots; yes they were expensive but luckily they are a strong trend for autumn so I will get to really show them off.
EGT: Recently I bought an executively sleek handbag from Alexander Wang that is perfect for my job where I am always on the go; crocodile-effect leather with gold hardware which gives every look a touch of Wang.
What is your favourite shop of all time?
AOB: I love London’s Liberty because of their eclectic collections, iconic prints and the best stationary department around (oh and chocolates!)
EGT: I am an online shopper at heart. I like to browse all the
options; it’s the most fast and effective way to get the best results for my client.
What is your biggest fashion mistake?!
AOB: I suppose it was on-trend at the time (?) but I now look back on gold lame leggings and really wonder; how did I ever think they looked good on me?
EGT: It has to be a neon lycra legging with matching neon socks (back in the 1990s) which my big sister thought was totally unacceptable; fair enough.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
AOB: That is a very tricky question; I am going to go with Julia Roberts because she is the epitome of 1990s Hollywood and has a brilliantly raucous laugh.
EGT: Mine would have to be Cameron Diaz because she is both funny and sexy on-and-off screen, and is the perfect combination of surfer chick and red-carpet star.
